WORK AT SHOWGROUNDS

ERECTION OF STONE WALL It was reported at yesterday's meeting of the council of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association by the secretary, Mr. W. F. O'Donnell. that arrangements had been made for tho erection of a modern stone wall along two-thirds of the street frontage of the showgrounds. All the rock was being obtained as a result of excavations at present in progress on the grounds, and the only costs would be for labour. Wet weather was hampering a great deal of tho work at the showgrounds.
