Butter. K 2 Eggi. r?\ 1 teaspoon grated Lemon IQ i WWyi t 'jA 'lf ]&' Rind and pinch of Salt, 'iA iirf Jf 2 oz- Candied Peel. 4 oz. sifted Sugar. 4 oz. Flour. Beat butter and sugar to cream. Beat eggs well. Mix flour and Cornflour together, add to butter and sugar alternately with eggs. _ Beat well, then add sultanas, peel (diced), lemon rind and salt. List put in baking powder and mix lightly into mixture. Pour into prepared cake tin, and bake for about 1 hour in moderately heated oven. 1 oz- Brovn & Poison's Cornflour. 1 Carrot, Turnip, Onion. 1 stick Celery. 2 Bay Leaves. 2 oz- Butter, i pint MilkSalt and Pepper. 1 pint White Stock. 1 teaspoonf-ul of Castor Sugar. Shred vegetables, put into saucepan with melted butter, cook five minutes without browning. _ Add bay leaves, aalt, sugar and stock (boiling). Simmer 15 minute* till vegetables are soft. Mix Cornflour with milk and add. Boil for « few minutes, stirring carefully. Remove bay leaves and serve. CDCC Cornflour added to flour makes all cokes rKCC and puddings lighter.
