VEHICULAR BREAKDOWN
i sir, —The breakdown at the vehicular ferrv wharf, Devonport, last Monday morning I sincerely trust will not occur again until either the harbour bridge or tunnel schemes hasi been completed. The lack of consideration for motorists ; shown by the Ferry Company by allowing them to come all the way into Devonport instead of diverting the I traffic to Northcote at Hall's Corner j showed an appalling lack of initiative ; on the part of the officials. It would I surely not have been too much to ex- | pert of the company to post a man ' at Haii's Corner, and thus save their I compulsory clients benzine and time, 1 not to mention annoyance. I did direct | one or two cars, but tho steady stream i made it hopeless, so 1 drove on hoping for the future to bring better manage- ! ment. Disgusted.
