BRASS BANDS' UNION
CONTEST IN HAMILTON SOUTH AUCKLAND EVENT [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday According to a decision reached at a meeting of the South Auckland Brass Bands' Union last evening, the next contest to be conducted by the union will bo held at Hamilton at Easter. The Mayor, Mr. J. R. Fow, presided. Arrangements for the contest were agreed to, and the following officers were elected:—Patrons, Messrs C. A. Barrell, M.P., 'J'. B. Booth and A. E. Sandford; president, .Mr. J. R. Fow; supervisor, Mr. J. G. Bateson; assistant supervisor, Mr. E. R. Roskruge; executive, Messrs. E. H. Quill, E. R. Roskruge, R. D. McFarland, F. Kear, W. H. Bourne, B. H. Andrews. H. D. t'aro, A. 0. Rice, H. Webster, H. Morrison, R. J. H. Seal and H. P. Meyer; secretary, Mr. R. J. H. Seal.
