WARSHIPS' MOVEMENTS
DUNEDIN AND LEITH EXERCISES IN THE GULF The sloop Leith will return to Auckland at seven o'clock this morning from her fortnight's cruise to northern ports. With H.M.S. Dunedin, flagship of Commodore the Hon. E. R. Drummond, the Leith will leave on Monday to carrv out exercises in the Hauraki Gulf until January 27. These exorcises will include day and night gun practices. The Dunedin will anchor at Kawau on January 2o to act as flagship for the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron's regatta. Returning to port on January 27, the cruiser will act as flagship for the Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta on January 29, and next day will leave on her summer cruise, the itinerary of which has already been announced. The Leith, commanded by Captain Oliver Bevir, will leave Auckland on January HO and after going north will proceed flown the west coast. After visiting South Island ports she will join the sloop Wellington at Wellington. H.M.S. Wellington, commanded by Commander J. B. E. Hall, left Auckland on her southern cruise on January 6. Both sloops will leave Wellington.for Auckland on April 27, arriving hero two ilnvs later.
