NOVEL WEDDING
STRANDED MAHENO CEREMONY IN SALOON BRISBANE. Jnn. 15 A romantic wedding was celebrated yesterday in tho saloon of the Maheno, which is stranded on Fraser Island, when Miss Beatrice McLean, of Townsvino, and Mr. Dudley Ernest Weatherley, Customs officer on duty at the wreck, were married. As the deck is tilted toward the sea at an angle of 16£ degrees, the clergyman had to lean backward and the bridal couple and attendants had to lean forward. Throughout the ceremony the ship trembled as the waves thudded against her. The Amaksa Company, of Osaka, intends to spend about £IO,OOO in an attempt to salvo the Maheno. The company is confident of success.
