RETURN OF THE FAN
General attention at a recent ball was attracted to tho largo vivid green fan carried by tho Duchess of York, who mado frequent use of it during the evening, states a London writer. The Duchess of York, like the Queen and tho Princess Itoyal, has always been a great admirer of the fan. As is well known, tho Queen has ono of the finest collections of fans in the world. Many of them were at one time the property of Queen Aloxandra and are exquisite art treasures of perfect workmanship in ivory and lace.
