CAR FALLS INTO GULLY
TWO FARMERS INJURED [by telegraph—own correspondent] GISBORNE. Wednesday A motoring accident on the Waimata Valley Road resulted in injuries being received by two well-known local farmers, Messrs. J. C. Field and H. G. Tucker. They were motoring through to Mr. Field's station, and when passing a roadman's cottage the attention of Mr. Field, who was at the wheel, was momentarily diverted, with the result that the car left the road and rolled over into a gully. Both occupants managed to extricate themselves from the damaged car, and a message was immediately despatched to the station, about two miles away. Thoy were conveyed to the station, where their injuries were attend to, and subsequently they were brought to town by Mr. Lawson Field. Mr. Ticker, who was admitted to a private hospital, suffered cuts on the head and a hand, and both he and Mr. Field weri bruised and shaken.
