RECORD TOUR COMPLETED It was acknowledged on all hands thnt our team was better, as far as team work goes, than the last two Olympic teams," wrote M. N. Masud, vice-captain of tho Indian hockey team whitfh recently toured New Zealand, at the conclusion of the tour. The team played its last match in Madras and neat tho provincial team by 17 goals to nil, a record for an All India team against any provincial side. Our total in goals was 584. compared with 40 scored again.tt us. Dh.van Chand reached his double century, Rup Singh scored 185 goals, and Wells reached a century. All these are records for the respective positions, and nro expected to last for years to come. " I stand a fair chance of captaining tho team in the Olympic Games next year." concludes Masud.
