.loan Bennett has been signed for tho loading feminine role in " The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo," opposite Ronald Col man. A theme song is being written for the picture, called " Love is a Cocktail."
"Bluebeard" is being adapted for Boris Karloff's next iilm.
David Selziiick, now with United Artists, has signed Sophie Tucker to make one picture for him.
Constanco Cum minus is to be Edward Arnold's leading lad.v in the queerl.v named " Hangover Murders."
Paul Muni's new picture is titled " The Enemy' of Man." It tells the story of Louis Pasteur, French biologist.
Joan Blondell's next picbure for Warner's is to be called " Miss Pacific Fleet." Glenda Farrell and Allen Jekins are in the cast with her.
John Boles will play in Shirley Temple's next picture, " The Littlest Rebel." Miss Temple, who has a soft spot for him, is said to have insisted on his having the part.
Paramount have bought the screen rights to all the stories Zane Grey may write for the next few years. They already hold the rights of most of those he has written in the past.
Pauline Frederick is returning to the screen again. She has been signed bv Twentieth Century-Fox to play with Claire Trevor in " Buccaneer," and will then appear in " Ramona."
Films for next year scheduled by the new Herbert Wilcox Production Company include: " The Street Singer," with Arthur Tracy and Anna Neagle; " The Blue Lagoon," produced in technicolour in tlie South Seas, with Joel McCrea or Richard Cromwell in the lead; one Jack Buchanan musical; two Walls-Lynn farces; and a musical costarring Anna Neagle with Tullio Carminati.
