MONEY OBTAINED BY FRAUD SUM OF £2lO INVOLVED [»V TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday In the Supreme Court to-day 11? charges were heard against Marcus Jackson of obtaining; from George Diack Minis totalling i'L'lo by falsely representing that he was Tommy Green, a well-known joekey, that he was commencing business as a trainer and that b:' required money from Diack for the purchase for him of two racehorses and for their maintenance. Tho defence cont< nded tlio story was an incredible (light of imagination and counsel suggested that money sent by Diack to Jackson, amounting to £14:?. was by way of return for racing information. After a retirement of 2o minutes the jury found accused guilty on all counts except two, which were alternative charges. He was remanded for sentence.
