TAKAPUNA GRAMMAR EVENTS . R. BRANCH WINS SENIOR TITLE MM—- • An improved standard was at the annual boxing tournament 0f.% the Takapuna Grammar School held at the Gaiety Theatre s Takapuna, last night, Spirited boxing was a feature of the majority of the bouljß. The echool championship was won by R '• * Branch, who defeated B.=* Robertson in tho. final. R. Dibley was awarded the medal!..- 5 for the most scientific boxer, while the , trophy for tho best loasr went to EL Mc- 1 Corkindnle. Exhibition bouts were given during the evening by H. Allott and R. L. Ya'll and W. Purdy and C. Smith, well-known Auckland amateurs. Several officials of the Auck-. land Boxing Association, including the president, Mr. It. Rupg, were present.
