MURIEL BRUNSKILL
At the Town Hall to-morrow night Madame Muriel Brunskill will make her farewell appearance in Xew Zealand. Among the songs selected are s thrilling "Mad Bess." There will be three of Hugo Wolf's finest examples ot lieder —"Z'ur Ruh," "Der Frennd and "Über Nacht"—and five numbers by Strauss. A dramatic offering Granville Bantock's "Song of tne Genie," and other numbers _ "Spring, the Sweet Spring," ' To , Da f£ dils" and "In the Garden of t»e Seraglio" (Delius), an exquisite littw song by Rutland Boughton called "Immanence," John Ireland s ~ Adoration" and "Across the V" or (Bax). The solo pianist, Carl Bartling. will include "Grillen" "Fantaisie Impromptu" (Chopin) , several Macdowell compositions among his items. The box plan is now opem
