CLAIM FOR £2OOO
SEQUEL TO COLLISION MAORI CHILDREN PLAINTIFFS [by TELEGRAPH —PRESS association] WELLINGTON. Tuoeday Four Maori children, ranging in age from three weeks to two years, were plaintiffs in an action for £2OOO heard in the Supreme Court to-day before the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, and a jury. The children were suing on behalf of their mother and guardian, Wekuweku Waaka, in respect of the death of their father, Lorraine Enoka, arising out of a collision in which Enoka received fatal injuries. Defendant. was Miss Jean Catherine Dallas, of Wellington. The accident happened in the early hours of February 10, between Paekakariki and Paraparaumu. Enoka was on a motor-cycle and defendant was driving a car. The allegation was that defendant unskilfully drove and managed the car, with the result that it collided with Enoka's motor-cycle. The defenco alleged that deceased was entirely responsible for the accident. The hearing was not completed today.
