THIRTY YEARS' TENNIS
RECORD OF W, T. TILDEN It is claimed that W. T. Tilden has played more tennis than any other player in the world. Tilden began playing over thirty years ago in tournaments, and his only rest was in 1928, when he was suspended by the United States Lawn Tennis Association for "pernicious activity." Ho will be 43 years of age in February, and he is still playing regularly. It is probable that the record for continuous play is held by J. H. Crawford, who has played six years of tennis, including eleven summers and one winter. F. J. Perry has only had about foui years' plav since he deserted table tenniß for lawn tennis, but during those years lie has played a good deal. G. P. Hughes has played much tournament tennis, while the New Zealander E. D. Andrews has been mentioned as playing in most countries of the globe..
