| TO-DAY'S PUBLICATION i DOMINION GOLF TOURNEY SPECIAL HASTINGS PICTURES The main pictorial section of this week's issue of The Weekly News, which is on sale to-day, contains many features of topical interest. The opening of the New Zealand golf championship tournament on the Shirley links at Christchureh forms the subject of the frontispiece, while on another page is a photograph of the winner of the open title, A. Murray, of Auckland. The visit of members of the touring British women's golf team to Rotorua is also covered. More than seven pages, including the centre double-page, are devoted to Hastings and the surrounding farming districts. Of special interest in this selection of photographs are views of the town of Hastings, activities on stud farms and at training stables, some of the fine town residences and country homesteads for which Hawke's Bay is noted, and the varied farming pursuits of the district. The Royal Show is to be held at Hastings next week, and these photographs are therefore of unusual interest. A special letterpress section of nino pages is devoted to articles on the agricultural and pastoral resources of the district. Other outstanding topics in the issue include further views from East Africa relating .to the Italo-Abyssinian conflict, the All Blacks in England, funeral of the late Sir James Coates at Auckland, opening of the new Hamilton airport at Rukuhia, and some lawn snap-1 shots at the spring meeting of the Auckland Racing Club. The athletic pages include a review of the New Zealand open golf championship results by H. R. Blair, professional to the Christchureh Golf Club.
