EARLY RECORDS SOUGHT
PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD ' I 'fc;, ; The opinion that efforts should be made as soon as possible to collect records relating to early affairs of the Papakura Town Board and photographs of former chairmen, was expressed by Mr. H. E. McEntee, chairman of the board, at Monday night's meeting. Mr. McEntee said that in 1942 the diamond jubilee of tho Town Board would occur, and no doubt thoso in authority then would arrange to celebrate the event. It would be splendid if a comprehensive record could be accumulated by that time. Mr. McEnteo said that, if tho board would undertake the expense of printing the names on it, lie would present an honours board to the municipal oflico. The board gratefully accepted Mr. Mc-Entee's ofl'er. It was decided to make a request to old residents, v ( ho had been connected with tho local body affairs, and to rolatives of former members, to assist in the compiling of records,.
