FLIGHT TO ENGLAND
PROGRESS OF BROADBENT ALLAHABAD, Oct. 13 Captain H. F. Broadbent, who left Darwin last Friday morning in an attempt to lower the Australia-to-Eng-land record, arrived at Allahabad and left again for Gwadar. He is trying to beat the Australia-to-England record of 0. Cathcart-Jones and K. Waller and flew non-stop from Rangoon to Allahabad. The airman is flying a Puss Moth, with a top speed of 150 miles an hour, cruising speed of 128 miles an hour and a range of 1500 miles.
