FRONTIER CLASH
JAPANESE AND RUSSIANS MOSCOW. Oct. 13 Russian and Japanese troops clashed on the Manchurian border at Grodeko, near Khabarovsk. Several were killed on either side. According to the Russian version of the affray Japanese and Manchurians penetrated for a kilometre into Soviet territory and fired at the frontier guards. The Soviet has instructed its Ambassador at Tokio to protest against violation of its territory.
