MANUREWA FINANCES
A statement of the finances of the Manurewa Town Board for the halfyearly period ended September 30 was presented at a meeting of the board last night. It showed that the income amounted to £3137, the rates collected, including the current year and arrears, totalling £1235. The expenditure, including £1072 for road and general maintenance, amounted to £4862. The bank overdraft was £1724. An estimate of revenue and expenditure for the ensuing sitf months showed that rates were expected to yield £3950 out of receipts totalling £4252. This amount would meet all obligations, including the bank overdraft, and complete the year with a credit balance of £231. The statement was adopted.
