TOBACCO TRADERS
AUCKLAND RETAILERS MEET A decision to support the proposed agreement between the Tobacco Manufacturers and Agents' Association and all retailers was reached at a meeting of tho Auckland District Retail Tobacconists and Hairdressers' Association last night. The president, Mr. C. E. Walker, presided over a large attendance. In connection with the agreement, tho .secretary-organiser, Mr. 11. M. Carter, gave a report of tho recent eonforenco in Wellington. It was decided that a minimum of 9d ho charged in all Auckland suburbs for children's haircutting. An outline of tho recent growth of tho association was given by Mr. Carter. Surprise was expressed at the increase shown in tho membership of tho association since the last general meeting.
