COMPANY ATTACKED
LABOUR AILEGATIONS PREMIER'S REFUTATION CANBEKKA, Oct. 8 In tho House of Representatives Mr. J. A. Beniiloy, loader of tho Lang Labour group, attacked the Broken Hill Proprietary Company, alleging that it v. as aiming, with tho help of tho tariff, oversea capital and tho proposed absorption of tho Australian Iron and Stool Company, to create a stool trust and exploit tho Australian people and workmen. Ho as!;od tho Government to appoint a Select commit too of inquiry. The Prinib Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, refused. lid said tho majority of Australians wore proud of tho wonderful progress this great organisation had made, and he saw no reason to create a precedent by holding a "fishing" inquiry into ii, company's private affairs.
