ARCHERY IN CANTERBURY
Archery, of a sort, would seem t<i have supplanted kite-flving for the moment in the youthful favour of Christchurch, states the Star-Sun. The streets have been terrorised for the last two weeks by enterprising, if unskilful, gangs of youths, who follow this ancient art. Their intentions may be good, but danger arises from ittir misdirections. For the most part .the bows and arrows are of nondescript appearance, and just as liablo to thoot oft at a tangent to the line of fire as go straight.
