Bdwt. n J KING SOLOMON PROGRESS ' The'quarterly roport of King Solomor " Deep Lead, Limited (Gore), states thai a fair amount of prospecting has beer done recently in tho south section oi the mine. Driving to.the east from th< main south drive the levels were gradec to the rise and gradually rose to th< gravels. These gravfls improved towarc the south until they merged into wasl carrying fair gold values. Tho presenci of gold in this section is considered de cidedly encouraging, and work will b pushed on with all possible speed. 1 nice development also is being provei in the north-east section. REPORTS OF MANAGERS Mataki. (Murchison).—Last w#k th« dredge pulled ahead 19ft. in ground averng ing 19ft. deep. The dredge had a gooc run for the week, with no mechanical de fects the time lost being caused througl large stones and timber. There ia no change in tho nature of the ground, but valuei aro showing a slight improvement.
