PONSONBY CLUB'S SEASON The report presented at the annual meeting of the Ponsonby Model Yacht Club stated that 16 days were devoted to racing, 47 events being decided. The club again maintained its supremacy in inter-club contests. The 4ft. championship was won by Waitere 11., and the 3ft. aggregate by Rhythm. The balance-sheet showed that the receipts amounted to £39 and the expenditure to £26, leaving a credit balance of £l3 on the year's working. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet Mr. C. J. Collings congratulated the club on its sound financial position and paid a tribute to the work of the officers and committee. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron. Mr. R. H. Wood; vice-patron, Mr. J. B. Johnston: president, Mr. G. Tyler: commodore, Mr. W. T. Matthews; vice-com-modore, Mr. W. Bush; rear-commodore, Mr. H. A. Lowe; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. L. K. Matthews; auditor, Mr. H. R. Arthur Messrl. R. Murphy, W. A. Wilkinson: judge, Mr. J. Conway; starter, Mr. E. Ewan; timekeeper, Mr. R. Drinkwater; handicappers. Messrs. AV.fIT. and L. R. Matthews; committee, Messrs. C. J. Collings, A. Bell, H. Crockett, W. Everitt. J. Hilton, E. Carlton. It was decided to hold the first of the regular club races on Sunday, November 3. when events will be held for tho 3ft. restricted class, 4ft. restricted class, allcomers and juniors. Mr.-W. A. Wilkinson, who called the first, meeting of tho club four years ago, and was commodore for two seasons, was eleoted an honorary life member.
