MATANGI CLUB'S PROGRESS [from OCR OWN correspondent] HAMILTON. Friday At the annual meeting of the Matangi Polo Club, the president, Mr. W. R. J. Franklin, congrutulated the members on winning the Saville Cup and tjie Auckland Provincial Cup. The draft agreement regarding the new central ground at Claudelands, between the Polo Association, the Trotting Club and the Agricultural and Pastoral Association, wns presented. Members expressed satisfaction with the prospect of a central ground, being established. It was decided thai tho club should guarantee a donation ol i.l foi each playing member. i The question of sending tenms to Feilding to defend the cups won at tho last Savile Cup tournament was considered, and it was decided to conduct a campaign to raise funds for this purpose. The following officers were elected President, Mr. W. R. J. Franklin: vicepresidents, Messrs. A. L. Yule, A. Miller. H. Windsor, Wynn Brown. A. Pretty and n. Robinson; captain. Mr. G. de Vere Chitty: selector. Mr. R. H. Townsend; delegates. Messrs. Chitty and Townaend; iccretary, Mr. W. L. Ranatecid.
