Friday Tho annual general meeting of the Whnngarei Defence Rifle Club was held this week. The balance-sheet disclosed a substantial credit on the year's working. It was decided that tho period of shooting should extend from September 29 to May 10, and that the opening day for the championship series should be October G. The president, -Mr. .T. H. Biggins 888, and O. Davies 88S, total 20G5, runnera-up. J. W. Courtney won the season's handicap' aggregate trophy with 2861. The Plumbers" Cup final was won by the Firestone team (\V. Newman, H. Foster Waters) shooting the possible, 300. J. Kissen won the trophy presented by Mr. J. S. W&»>1ley with 599 (possible 600). M. K. Stewart 08, counted out J. Culder 98, and 3. Hutton 98, and won the A grude Buckley Rooster.
