Freeman; vice-presidents. Messrs. J. Persey, A. Jamieson; secretary and treasurer, Mr. B. Hemphill; committee. Mrs A. Watson, Misses Lemon, M. Donovan. C. Friday The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Lawn Tennis Club .---Patron, Mr. S. A. Empson: president, Mr. 11. V. Holmes; presidents, Messrs. O. S. West and T. Clyrk and Hev. A. C. Whitelaw: secretary, Mr. F. I. Miller (re-elected); treasurer, Mr. Jns. Jourrlain; general committee, Misses X. Maxwell, B. Chutm, R. Bell and E. Maxwell, Messrs. R. Gopdall and J. Keeley; auditor, Mr. W. McGivern 're-elected); ground committee, Messrs. K. Good nil, H. Renton and P. Steer; club captain, Rev. A.C. Whitelaw; vice-captain, Mr F I. Miller; match committee. Misses E. Maxwell and K. Bell, Messrs. D. Steer, R. GoodaU and F. I. Miller. Mrs. S. Clark was unanimously elected a life member of the club in recognition of her long services. KAITAIA club [uy telegraph —own correspondent] - KAITAIA. Friday There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Kaitaia Tennis Club. The president. Mr. R. H. Kelly, presided. The balance-sheet showed a small loss on the year's activities after adequate allowance had been made for depreciation on the club's property, buildings, and plant. The report stated that the past year had proved most successful from a playing point of view The following officers were elected:— Patron. Mr. D. S. "White; president, Mr. R H Kelly; vice-presidents Messrs. J. 1. Clark. J. T. B. Taafe. G. Foster, W. Dyer, and Dr. Rule, secretary and treasurer, Mr. K. Fyfe; club captain, Mr. H. Thompson; auditor, Mr. D. S. White; delegate to the Mangonui County Tennis Association, Mr. 11. Thompson; committee, Missis D. Mcintosh and M Wnttridge. and Messrs. D. Barry. H. Thompson, the president, and the secretary. Opening day was fixed for Saturday, October 12, and it was decided to carry out various improvement to the ground prior to that date. It was decided to enter two senior teams in the county competition this season, if possible.
