ROTORUA INTERESTS
The Workers' Education . Association play-reading group met at the home of Miss A. French, Arawa Street, this week to read John Drinkwater'B historical play, "Oliver Cromwell." The hostesses for the evening were Miss French and Misa E. Winslade. Those taking part in the reading were Mesdames I. McDonald. E.. H. Crawford and M. Willis, and the Misses M. Newson, V. Steele, E. Rushton, F. Richardson, M. Carter, A. Bruce, J. Isdale and K. Constant. Miss Jean Britton Sjnith, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. E. L. Barker, Ranolf Avenue. Mrs. H. Bertram, of "Glenholm," has returned from a - brief visit to Wnnganui. • • Misses Margaret and Gwenneth Sloane, Haupapa Street, has left on an extended tour of the North Island. Miss J. Craeroft Wilson, of Christchurch, is visiting Rotorua. Miss G, Symmonds, of Wairoa, is visiting her sister, Mrs. G. Haymes, Union Street.
