ANNUAL MILITARY BALL The annual military ball, hold in tho Tauranga Town Hall, was very successful, and was the occasion of a largo gathering of about 500 dancers, including visitors from other districts. Tho decorations were carried out in red, white and blue, and regimental colours wore conspicuous on tho stage. Supper arrangements were in tho hands of Mrs. F. Robinson and a ladies' committee. Among those present were:— The Mayor, Mr. L. R. Wilkinson, and Mrs. Wilkinson, tho latter wearing a frock of black ring velvet; Mrs. Renshaw, Mrs. Harold Stevens, Mrs. M. P. Miss Ena Thompson," who has been tho guest of Mrs. C. E. Macmillan in Wellington, lias returned to Otumoetai. Mrs. Hornabrook, of Masterton, is visiting her mother, Mrs. Doughty. Cliff Hoad. Mrs. Digby Smith, of Dunedin, is spending a holiday in Tauranga. Miss D. Barr, of Wellington, is spending a short holiday with Mrs. C. W. Johnson, Seventh Avenue. Miss Mary White has returned from England, and is visiting her sister, Mrs. Every, Ninth Avenue.
