RUGBY FOOTBALL
TO-MORROW'S FIXTURES SENI.OR MATCHES RESUMED GRAFTON TO PLAY TECHNICAL After an interval of five weeks the Auckland Rugby 'Union's senior grade championship will bo resumed to-mor-row. Ground conditions are becoming too hard to permit of the best of football, but, with only three scries of matches in the second round of the competition completed, it is obvious that tho next two or three matches will bo of great importance and tho players may bo expected to give of their best.
The principal attraction at Eden Park will bo the meeting of the two leading teams, Grafton and Technical Old Boys. The Technical team has been playing Very solid football in its recent matches and crowned its efforts by winning the Jubilee Cup competition. Grafton may find it a hard team to beat. Marist and Pon6onby will provide tho curtain-raiser and here again a close matph should result. Marist has tho better set of forwards, but if the" fast Ponsonby backs seo much of tho. ball they may make tho result very interesting.
Manukau and College Rifles will meet on the Onrhunga ground at Waiknraka. Park. Manukim should have the better chance. Univiitity will play Otahuhu at, the Show Grounds in what prfcmisps to be the best match of the day. Each team is within: striking distance of the championship, and' each plays a bright, .open game, • , •' Following , are the teams : MARIST Senior Grade.—M. Elliot, J. Smith, K.
