WESTFIELD QUOTATIONS VALUES RECEDE SLIGHTLY AN EASING IN DEMAND There was a slight weakening in values for dairy cattle at the Westfield weekly stock sale yesterday. Average yardings of store and dairy cattle were offered, but the majority of the stock was showing the effects of the recent winter and the .shortage of feed. The better-conditioned stock met with a fairly good demaifd, which, however, was not so keen as in the last few weeks. The general level of values receded slightly, and a number of lines failed to make the reserve pi-ices. The best realisation in the dairy section was £6, for a fine type of Jersey heifer. An advertised line of cattle from tho Great Barrier Island sold under fairly good competition, and a line of Polled Angus three and four-year-old steers made up to £5 17s. Tho values in tho storo cattle section were on a par with recent rates. Boner cattle continued to sell well, Tho best realisation was £5, for a fat bull. The quotations were as follows:
