COURT OF APPEAL CASE

After further legal argument, the Court of Appeal to-day reserved its decision in the case in which Thomas Patrick Shaw, taxi-driver, of Wcstport, and Thomas Shaw, electrician, also of Wcstport, appealed from a decision of Mr. Justice Johnston, who refused to grant an application for a now trial in respect of an action heard in the Supreme Court, Wcstport, last February. Plaintiff, Freda Hill, widow, of Fairdown, was awarded damages amounting to £1750, the jury holding that the death of plaintiff's husband, which occurred as a result of a motor accident, was due to negligence on the part of Thomas Patrick Shaw, whoso car collided with deceased's motorcycle.
