DULL AND MISTY IN NORTH

The weather report and forecast fop New Zealand, issued last evening the Government meteorologist, as follows: —Pressure is still high over and especially east of, New Zealand The cyclone to the north-west has del creased in extent and intensity. The indications are for strong but decreag.* ing easterly winds north, of Kawhia and, East Cape, elsewhere light to moderate and variable, but mainly from the Baao easterly quarter. Seas rather rough north of East Cape, elsewhere smooth to moderate. In the eastern Tasman Sea, light to moderate easterly winfo with smooth to moderate seas. The weather should be mainly fair to fine but dull and misty in North Auckland, with scattered rain and shower* or misty rain at a few isolated plaoee on the coast.

SPECIAL AUCKLAND FORECAST

FAIR TO CLOUDY CONDITIONS

The Government meteorologist issued to the Herald last evening the follow, ing special forecast for the Auckland Province: —Strong but decreasing east, erly winds. The weather should be fair to cloudy, but' some scattered rainfall is likely, mainly on the east coast. Seal rough on the east coast and moderate on the west coast. YESTERDAY'S WEATHER Auckland. —Boisterous and unsettled weather continued in Auckland yesterday. There was a strong wind fro® the east-north-east which moderated about mid-day, only to freshen again toward evening. Conditions were humid, the temperature at noon being 60dei». Dunedin.—The weather yesterday i was again fine and pleasant with passing clouds and sunshine, and an absence of wind. The maximum temperature wai 59 degrees. The barometer was steady at 30.46 in.
