OLD COINS FOUND
WINDFALL FOR WORKMEN While demolishing \he Cottage of . Content Hotel at St. Mary's, Nev South Wales, a relic of the old days, workmen found coins of the total value of nearly £6O under the old bar. . In denomination these ranged frotfi farthings to half-sorereigns, and is* eluded two-penny pieces, groats . and many silver coins. There were hundreds of tokens, including some celebrating the opening Of the railway lino from Sydney to Parramatta. The Cottage of Content Hotel wu built about 105 years ago, and wal kept by Thomas Harford, who latrf started a boot factory and small tan- * llerv. The business of the factory ana hotel was carried on by Harford until about 1856, when the hotel was closed.
