ST. PETER'S SCHOOL
PROGRESS AT CAMBRIDGE MODEL FARM PLANNED [HY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] CAMBRIDGE, Tuesday With 150 men working ten hours a day, the building of St. Peter's Preparatory School at "Gwvnnelands," near Cambridge, is being pushed rapidly ahead. The concreting work on tho main block is nearing completion, and in the library wing the interior woodwork and finishing will commence in a few days. Steady progress is also being made with the classroom block, and the frame for the walls and roof is complete. The weatherboarding of this building will be commenced as soon as supplies of dressed timber are available from a local mill, which recently suffered a serious setback by fire. Work on the chapel and gymnasium has been delayed owing to a shortage of suitable timber. The fine staff residential block was commenced this morning. A gang of 34 men is engaged levelling the playing fields, which will bo in a natural amphitheatre just below the school. A start will be made on the swimming pool shortly. A model farm has been planned by Dr. H. E. Annett, of Matangi. Thirtyfour acres of land will be divided into two-acre paddocks. The additional 106 acres acquired on the Hamilton side of the school property was taken over to-day from Mr. Innes Taylor.
