DRAMATIC SUICIDE
FORMER SOLDIER'S END BRISBANE, Sept. 14 Stewart Lyle Stormonth, 47, a clerk in the Court of Petty Sessions, died in sensational circumstances in the office of the Under-Secretary of the Department of Justice. Stormonth handed the Under-Secretary, Mr. G. A. Carter, a letter applying for long service leave, then he drew a revolver and fired two shots into his left breast. Stormonth died before an ambulance arrived. Deceased served in the war. He was captured at Suvla Bay and for' three years was a prisoner with the Turks.
