THAMES TAILINGS DUMPS OPTIONS ABANDONED The options held over tailings dumps at Thames by Universal Gold Development, No Liability, Victoria, have been abandoned. The managing director, after inspecting the dumps, reported in Melbourne that prospects did not warrant proceeding further. WORKSOP DIVIDEND A dividend of 10 per cent, payable on September 30, has been declared by the directors of the W orksop Extended Gold Dredging Company, Limited (near Reefton). This is the third dividend of the same amount since the company commenced operations in August, 19IU. YIELDS OF COMPANIES Worksop Extended (near Reefton).— Last week, 570z. from 9240 yds. in 132 hours. Waipapa Beach (Southland). —Last week, 26iox. for 115 hours. Mossy Creek (West Coast). —Last week, 30oz. lodwt. for 92 hours. The dredge was stopped on Friday morning and will not work for some days. Th<; staff is building a dam to bring in a new water supply. Waitahu (near Reefton). —Further partial wash-up, No. 4 paddock, 540z 2dwt. Golden Sands (West Coast). —530z. 4dwt. for 34 shifts. Maori Gully (West Coast).—Las! week, 250z. lldwt. for 111 hours.
