LEATHER TRADE MATCH The annual shoe and leather trade bowling match was held on the Balmoral green on Saturday between teams representing the wholesale and retail sections of the industry. The wholesale representatives won the Clarke Rose Howl by 91 points to 80, while the Meltonian Cup, awarded to the team winning by the largest, margin .of points, went to Mr. J. Hodd's team, with a margin of 1(5 points. ONEHUNGA CLUB'S TOURNEY The Onehunga Bowling Club's September full-rink tournament was advanced a stage on Saturday, when Kerns (Onehunga), 26, defeat-ed De Launay (Carlton), 13, in the semi-fiiial. The final will be played on Wednesday afternoon between Kerna and Scott (Grey Lynn).
