CYCLIST'S ROAD RECORD
Hiding from scratch through blinding lain, snow and hail —the worst conditions experienced for 20 years—R. W. Lamb (Coburg) won the Holland road race of 65 miles from Melbourne to Ballarat from his co-marker, P. Voitch, with K. Webb (Tasmania), also scratch, in third position. The time, 3h 2om 10s, created a course record.
