LEAP TO SAFETY
MOTOR-CYCLIST'S ESCAPE / A leap from his motor-cycle just before it was smashed in a collision with a motor-car in Freeman's Bay about eight o'clock yesterday morning, saved Mr. J K Liddcll, of 18 Arawa Street, Grafton, from almost certain severe injury. He escaped unhurt, although tho motor-cycle and the side-car were damaged extensively, A motor-car travelling down Franklin Uoad met the motor-cycle at tho foot of the hill, striking the empty side-ear heavily, and crushing it. Tho cycle itself was also damaged, as it was forced bodily across tho road for eomo distance.
