ROUND TABLE CLUB
PLEASANT WEEK-END PARTY Memberu of the Auckland Business and Professional Women's Round Table Club spent a very pleasant week-end at Holiday House, Blockhouse Bay. Ihe fine weather on Saturday and on Sunday morning induced many long tramping excursions, while in the evenings a huge log tire made indoors a very pleasant retreat. Games, competitions and musical items were held, the coml>etitions being won by Miss R. Gentles and INI iss Simm. Bridge and mah jongg were also played. The retiring president. Miss I. Tanner, and the secretary. Miss Kay Collins, were presented with a leather handbag and a bridge table, respectively. Tn making the presentations on behalf of the members, the newly-elec-ted president, Miss L. Langsford, referred to the valuable services rendered by both retiring officers since the inception of the club. The party returned to Auckland on Sunday evening.
