MANGONUI SHOW
IMPROVEMENT IN REVENUE MEETING OF ASSOCIATION [BV TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT ] KAITAIA. Monday The 48th annual meeting of the Mangonui County Agricultural and Pastoral Association was hold in Kaitaia on Friday evening, when there was a fair attendance of members. The president, Mr. J. T. Clark, was in the chair. The report and balance-sheet showed an increase of membership during tho year and also an improvement in the revenue from the annual show and from the association's hall. During tho period there had been a large expenditure on renovations to the hall and tho installation of an electric light plant. Improvements had also been carried out to the yards. The following officers were elected:—• Patrons, Messrs. L. J. Hester and J. W. Hoskin; president, Mr. J. T. Clark; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. G. Bricn and A. McL. Wright. It was decided to appoint a standing committee as well as a general committee, and the following wero elected: Messrs. J. Cowie, W. F. Horry, H. McDonald, H. M. Thompson, 10. J. Panther, P. Yendcll, A. W. Masters and the Rev. K. Blackwood Moore; genoral committee, Mesdames W. Gcard, A. Wilkinson, R. G. Brien, I). R. Jameson, R. H. Matthews, Messrs. W. H. Farrimond, 1). 11. Lewis, A. Wilkinson, D. Jameson, 10. C. Matthews, N. L. Gurr, H. Summerfield, T. Maughan, jun., J. O'Sullivan, J. M. Dawson, with the standing committee and officers; Messrs. H. Job and S. Busby wero elected native representatives on the committee; auditors. Messrs. J. O'Sullivan and H. McDonald; secretary-treasurer, Mr. J. F. Carolin.
In a general discussion various suggestions for the improvement of the association's show were brought forward by members, and these aro to bo considered by the committee.
