DECORATIVE TELEGRAMS
MESSAGES OF GREETING Extending the idea embodied in tho special telegram forms which it issues for Christmas greetings, tho Post and Telegraph Department has decided to provide decorative forms throughout the year for birthday greetings and messages of congratulation. Those will bo available on and after to-day, without any charge above the ordinary telegraphic rates for the messages, tho wording of which is to bo left, to tho sender.
Tho forms upon which tho messages will bo delivered aro on cream paper with ornamental headings printed in red and green. One form bears tho words, "Birthday Greetings" in largo Old English letters. Tho Royal Arms appear iibove. On one side there is a representation of a sundial and on tho other aro a birthday cake with lighted candles and three coloured india-rubber balloons. The other form is headed with the words, "Congratulatory Telegram" in tho same style of lettering, flanked by a loving-cup and a pair of clasped hands, each device enclosed in a chaplet of laurel. Telegrams of both kinds will be enclosed in cream envelopes of tho shape ordinarily used for social correspondence, bearing a design in red and green very similar to those used on the form*.
