JUBILEE SERVICES
MT. EDEN BAPTIST CHURCH With tho object of marking the completion of 50 years of Church life and service, members of tho Mount Hden Baptist Church began a series of special services and festive gatherings at the week-end. A gathering for prayer and preparation was hold on Saturday evening. Yesterday the morning service was conducted by a former local preacher, Mr. H. H. Driver, and by the Rev. J. F. Jones. Many former members of tho church from various parts of tho Dominion were present. The afternoon gathering was in tho nature of a special Sunday school service, presided over by tho superintendent, Mr. F. Tippett. The evening service was conducted by tho minister, the Rev. R. Stowards, assisted by some of tho former secretaries. Tho celebrations will be continued each ovening this week, with the exception of Friday.
