LADIES GOLF MATCH

CUP FINAL AT HAMILTON PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES The final of the Ellis Cup, played between Mrs. E. L. Barker, of Rotorna, and Mrs. F.'Mander, of Hamilton, at the St. Andrews Golf Links, Hamilton, attracted a large gallery of spectators. The match was won by Mrs. Mander after a close and interesting contest. The cup is held by a St. Andrews player for the first time for ten years. At the conclusion of the final, members and friends returned to the clubhouse, where the presentation of trophies took place. The president, Mrs. H. C. Ross, remarked on the happy atmosphere which had prevailed throughout the tournament, and paid a tribute to the work of the secretary, Mrs. W. M. Horton, during the tournament. Miss E. M. Upton, of Auckland, returned thanks on behalf of the visiting golfers and Mrs. J. M. Wilson, of Auckland, also spoke.

The trophies were presented as follows: —Ellis Cup (presented by Mrs. J. W. Ellis), Mrs. F. Mander; runner-up, Mrs. E. L. Barker (Rotorua). St. Andrews Cup (presented by Mrs. T. C. Eraser), Mrs. W. Halligan (To Aroha); runner-up, Mrs. J. A. M. Clachan. First medal: Senior, Mrs. W. Bray (Paeroa); junior, Mrs. G. B. Isdale. Second medal: Senior, Miss J. Masters; junior, Mrs. C. F. O'Connor. First bogey: Senior, Miss W. Barns-Graham (Poverty Bay); junior, Mrs. G. A. Farmer (Whakatane). Secpnd bogey: Senior, Miss E. G. White (Auckland); junior, Miss I. McCready (Auckland). Best gross aggregate in two medals: Miss W. Barns-Graham (Poverty Bay). Foursomes: Airs. J. M. Wilson (Auckland), and Mrs. R. Rainger (Auckland). Consolation: Mrs. W. Waring.
