Amos and her daughter, Miss Nancy Amos, when their homo caught fire early on Saturday morning. Both Mr. Amos and his son-in-law, Mr. H. Zell, father of the young child, were absent at the time, and tho occupants retired early. An hour later they were awakened by the child, which was in a restless state. While trying to comfort it Mrs. Amos heard objects falling in the rear portion of the house, and on investigation found the back a mass of flames. Stopping only to gather a few personal belongings, both women made a hurried escape with the child. Tho house, which contained five rooms, was almost completely destroyed. The building and the contents were covered by insuranco.
