Saturday The fourth annual meeting of the New Zealand Ski Council! was held at the Ball Hut, Mount Clock, daring the championships, The question of subscriptions -was discussed at length, and it was decided on the motion of Mr. B. S. ißyme (Ruapchu Club) that thena should bo a levy of Is a member up to 40 members and 6d oyer 40, with a minimum of £1 and a maximum of £5. It was stated that in th*i team fund, which teas established for the purpose of sending a, team overseas, there was a credit; of £2O. The following council wan clouted: —Messrs. G. ')N. A. Day, R. C. Murie, G. G. frock-irood, E. A. Ferrier and F. H. Drewitt.
The meeting was informed thai; Mr. Colin Wyatt, a prominent member of the Ski: Club of Britain, would visit New Zealand nest year and advise the council on matters relating to skiing. It was decided that thu next New Zealand, championships be held at Tongariro National Park. In discussion of future likely places Mount Egmont was suggested, provided that suitable accommodation was mm ailable.
Mr. Syme stressed this need of makinp; more widely knowilt the Alpine Club distress signals.
