MARAMA ARRIVES LATE
ROUGH TASMAN CROSSING Continuous henc'l winds and seas wore experienced by the Manama, which arrived from Sydney at 11 o'clock yesterday morning, four hours behind schedule. A moderate easterly wind prevailed during the vessel's passage across the Tasnian Sea. but; when she was nearing Cape Marin Van Diemen on Monday morning the wind increased to a fresh breeze, which developed into a moderate gale when she reached the North Cape, the sea then being very rough. Afterwards the conditions were boisterous and rough until the vessel reached the shelter of the Hauraki Gulf. <>
