CAMBRIDGE ACTIVITIES
Mrs. L. Saclier, of Melbourne, who is tho guest of her sister, Mrs. S. Ix3wis, entertained a number of her Cambridge and Te Awamutu friends at a bridge afternoon at the Lyceum Club, Hamilton. Afternoon tea was served in the lounge, which was decorated with bowls of daffodils and yellow japonica. The Cambridge Riigbv Ball, held on Thursday night in the Pown Hall, was very successful and drew many visitors from tho surrounding districts. Tho stage was banked with greenery, while pink camclias made an effective note of colour. Tho committee consisted of Mesdanies H. Cubis, W. Drake. M. Kingdon, C. Kelly, F. Green, S. Holmes, A. Scott, W. Haworth, H. Griffith, L. Fisher, P. C. Peterson, Misses R. Drake, M. Bourke, and E. Holmes. Mrs. 15. R. Lee and Mrs. M. Gibbons were responsible for tho floral decorations. Miss Mary Wrightson has joined tho staff of tho Auckland Hospital. Miss Betty Martyn is visiting Wanganui. ; Mrs. J. C. Sawers has returned from a visit to Marton. Mrs. Beddoll, of Auckland, is staying with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. Hart Hicks, of Maungatautari. Mr.. A. N. Wrightson is visiting her mother, Mrs. Magson, of Orakei Road. Rcmuera, Auckland. Miss Ruth Souter 'is visiting her sister. Mrs. W. Nicoll, of Te Arolia. Miss Grace Hnrbutt has joined the staff of the Wellington Hospital.
